JONES-HAMILTON INCORPORATES IN OHIO Facility In Wood County Becomes Headquarters; Company Will Celebrate
Its 25 th Anniversary in Walbridge Later This Year
WALBRIDGE, Ohio -- Jones-Hamilton Co., an employee-owned manufacturer of chemical products, became an Ohio corporation, effective January 1, 2006.
The corporate headquarters move from California to the site of Jones-Hamilton’s Walbridge manufacturing facility increased the Wood County facility’s workforce by ten percent.
“Jones-Hamilton’s Ohio incorporation ends a process that started several years ago, as we began to view Northwest Ohio as a better long-term location for the company,” said Robert James, Jones-Hamilton’s President and CEO. “Over the years, we’ve found Northwest Ohio offers us the right combination of proximity to customers, transportation access and a skilled and available work force.”
The company was founded in Oakland, California, in 1951 and moved to Newark, California, in 1955. Jones-Hamilton was previously incorporated in that state.
Jones-Hamilton, which currently employs approximately 80 people, will celebrate the 25 th anniversary of its Walbridge facility later this year.
