JONES-HAMILTON NAMES BERNARD MURPHY EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
WALBRIDGE, Ohio -- Jones-Hamilton Co., an employee-owned manufacturer of chemical products, announces that Bernard D. Murphy, Ph.D., has been named Executive Vice President.
As Executive Vice President, Murphy is charged with management of all three business groups – Agricultural Division, Specialty Products Division and Chemicals Division – as well as Health Environmental, Safety and Security Programs, in addition to his previous responsibilities. Murphy reports to Robert James, President and CEO.
Previously, Murphy was the vice president of Operations for Jones-Hamilton, in which he was responsible for the Sodium bisulfate business, manufacturing, and research and development.
Prior to Jones-Hamilton, Murphy was Manager, Technical Sales at Novus International. Prior to Novus, Murphy was Vice President, Research and Development for Vetlife, and he held several positions at American Cyanamid Company, most recently as Business Manager, Poultry Products.
Murphy received a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Delaware, a master’s degree in poultry science from University of Arkansas and a doctorate degree in the area of food technology in 1986 from Iowa State University. He and his wife currently reside in Perrysburg.
