JONES-HAMILTON WINS COVETED SAFETY AWARD FROM CN RAILROAD

WALBRIDGE, Ohio -- Jones-Hamilton Co., an employee-owned manufacturer of chemical products, has been named a winner of the Safe Handling Award for 2004, by CN, formerly the Canadian National Railway Company. The award is one of the most coveted and respected in the railroad industry.

"CN has strict standards for handling the shipments entrusted to us by our customers," said Jerry Boland, CN Vice President, Sales - Industrial Products. "The CN Safe Handling Award rewards customers for thoroughness and care in handling hazardous goods. They work hard to make safety their priority, which is a goal we share."

Jones-Hamilton was recognized for safely shipping hazardous goods using CN during 2004. Awards are only given to shippers moving more than 100 cars of such materials.

"Jones-Hamilton is constantly stressing the importance of safety in manufacturing and transportation, and our employees take great pride in their work," said Chet Rolak, Jones-Hamilton Director of Transportation and Logistics. "This award is a tribute to their efforts every day to make safety a daily priority."

Jones-Hamilton was one of 51 U.S. companies to be presented the 2004 Safe Handling Award by CN, which ships products throughout Canada and mid-America, from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to the Gulf of Mexico. The award was presented during a ceremony at CN corporate headquarters in Montreal on May 16, 2005.

The CN recognition marks the third safety award Jones-Hamilton has received from a major rail company in the last six years. Jones-Hamilton was honored by Kansas City Southern Railway 2003 and CSX Railway in 1999.
